Gravity Tine Seeder

The Piket Gravity Tine Seeder was intended for general sowing of grain and grass seed in a No Till environment. It was specifically adapted for planting in more harsh conditions.

Conservation Agriculture is a farming system that aims to preserve and improve the soil by implementing no tillage planting, crop rotation and cover crops. Farm equipment must be able to handle uncultivated soil and crop residues. The Piket Gravity Tine Seeder was designed for this purpose. The demand for this seeder comes mainly from the commercial farm where a general seeder is needed to sow a variety of seed. It is very popular where different types of grass, small grain and lucerne are planted for grazing. For medium size farms this is the ideal all-round seeder for wheat, oats, grass, canola, soya beans, etc.

The seeder is towed and works well in smaller irrigation camps due to its small turning radius. But it works just as well on open dry land.
